With a video camera, I filmed children playing in the daytime on
a globe jungle and projected the images onto the same globe jungle at night.
A mysterious space rose up when the children playing the daytime
reflected on the globe jungle at night came alive as afterimages in the park.

I made the scructure itself a spheical screen, using the phenomenon of
afterimages producted by the spinning. I projected the park scenery filmed
from inside the globe jungle and the children playing from two directions.
Looking at the park scenery filmed from inside the globe jungle and
projected from outside was tantamount to seeing the world turned inside out
with the globe jungle as the boundary.

I became conscious of the earth’s rotation when the scenes of
children playing in the daytime were revived in the park at night.
Thoughts and feelings cane and went, transcending time;
it was almost like defrosting people’s memories that have been
compressed in the repetition of day and night.
